Welcome to Children's World: Early Learning and Childcare, LLC. My name is Anna Stephanos, and I am the owner and provider an in home day care called Children's World in Boyds Maryland. We border conveniently on Germantown. Children's World offers year-round high quality child care and educational developmentally appropriate learning experiences for preschool children 2 through 5 years of age, using a Preschool curriculum and a variety of teaching and day care resources.
Thematic Based Instructional Day Care in Boyds and Germantown MD
Young children learn best through thematic based instruction. When young children are taught using thematic based instruction, it develops their background knowledge of the world around them. In addition, while in my care, I will offer times for play (both inside and outside), arts and crafts, stories, and nap time.
As a former Kindergarten and First grade teacher, I strongly feel young children not only need to receive direct teaching instruction, but also lots of nurturing and to learn about social skills during the early years and day care. We'll work together on things like sharing, cooperation, taking turns, making and keeping friends, using words appropriately and being respectful.
It is essential that young children have a day care provider/teacher who is patient, understanding, caring, and will provide the children guidance in a happy yet friendly atmosphere. As an educator, it is also my mission to instill a love of learning and literacy during day care, which will prepare Preschool children for a Kindergarten program of studies.
