Children's World: Early Learning and Childcare Mission & Philosophy for Day Care
As an child care educator, I believe in rewarding children and giving praise when I observe them using the Character Counts rules. Character Counts addresses respect, friendships, sharing, valuing each others feelings, good citizenship, cooperation, manners, following directions, and using words appropriately.
- To promote children's learning through developmentally appropriate lessons and activities through thematic based instruction.
- To instill a love of learning and literacy.
- To prepare Preschool children for Kindergarten.
- To provide children a safe and nurturing learning environment at all times.
- Daily feedback is given to parents in child's own personal journal.
Children's World Day Care Rules
Children need structure in their daily day care routine and also need to know what is expected of them. They are eager to please and look forward to knowing they have done a good job and to being rewarded. At Children's World there are some very simple rules that are expected of each child during their day.
- I will follow directions.
- I will pay attention.
- I will keep my hands and feet to myself.
- I will share toys and materials at all times, and will use them nicely.
- I will not run, wrestle, or climb in the house nor on furniture.
- I will be respectful at all times to my friends, and Ms. Anna. No name calling, yelling at others, and no use of inappropriate language.
